Mostly restaurants that are not in my area or that I have never heard of. Therefore I am not familiar with most recipes. Would NOT purchase it again!!!
Customer rating is 4 of 5  Great Resource For Cooks   2010-02-21
By Sandra Kirkland (High Point, North Carolina United States)
For those readers whose New Year's Resolution is to save money this year, Todd Wilbur's new cookbook, Top Secret Recipes Unlocked, is a godsend. The cookbook gives the average person the tools to recreate their favorite restaurant offerings at home, allowing them to save money and impress those they are cooking for.

The cookbook is broken down by restaurants. Some of the restaurants represented include Panera Bread, Boston Market, Burger King, Carnegie Deli, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Outback, KFC, Starbucks, Taco Bell and even Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Each recipe is given a page, with a paragraph preceding it that gives any tips that let the chef overcome any challenges. Many recipes are followed by a section called Tidbits that give further tips and things to consider. The recipes are clearly written and easy to follow.

This book is recommended for all readers, especially those who are cooks. Living in the hometown of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, I'm not sure anyone else can duplicate those heavenly treats, but most of the recipes are well within the expertise of the average person. Using these recipes is a great way to impress friends invited over for a meal.
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Secrets Unlocked, Money Saved and the Eating is Fine   2010-02-03
By Vesta Irene (the Pacific Northwest)
Did you ever have a hankering for those Cajun Honey Wings you can get at KFC, but it was the middle of the night and they were closed? Or maybe you just don't like getting in the car and searching out the Colonel's to go diner whenever you want those wings. No fret, that top secret recipe is revealed in this book and it's not hard to make.

One of my faves, something I really like is the Strabucks Frappuccino that you get at Safeway or any other fine supermarket, only trouble is, drink three or four of those in a day and your wallet is going to take a serious beating. Problem, the recipe is dead easy and it's in this book. Now I can drink my frap fave to my heart's content and spent hardly any money at all. That recipe alone is worth the price of this book for me.

But wait! There's more! Wanna duplicate Sonic's burger in your home? You can. You can find the secret to so many recipes in this book and even if you've never had the Carnegie Deli Classic New York Cheesecake, you can have it now, without going to the Big Apple. There's a lot of delicious recipes between the covers of this book. Really, there is.
Customer rating is 5 of 5  The best of all of his books   2010-01-07
By K. Barker
I ordered three of his books, this one was by far the best. Most of the recipes really are better than you get at the restaurant. Honestly the donut recipe is more trouble then its worth. But the smoothie and chedar biscuits turned out great.
Customer rating is 2 of 5  Disappointed   2009-12-21
By Edwin Ohta (Honolulu)
I thought the book did not contain many of the famous recipes I thought it would have. I did not find any that made the book a good purchase.
